Balrog's Playpen |
Balrog's is here again! This Kiwiburn Balrog's will put on a show and have a fire idol. We will have workshops on several different fire toys, and delicious alcoholic refreshments. People keen to participate, contribute, ideas or otherwise, we are keen to catch up with you! And if you're keen to host the show 'cause you can talk excessively and it makes people laugh, or be a judge for fire idol, join our facebook group "Balrog's Playpen". |
Wilderburn |
Come chill in our beautiful bamboo roundhouse and enjoy a cuppa fresh organic chai. Keep an ear out for a special event or two. |
The Great Exhibitionist |
It's all about exhibitionism, folks. Dress up in your raunchiest outfits and accessories, decorate and wear a mask, or weak body paint... The fantasy is up to you and your creative imagination. However... entry is only for those who are masked, decorated or dressed to thrill. Explore the pleasures of exhibitionism. Mmm. |
Firemen's Social Club |
Fun, friendship, safety, games and fire. |
The Green Fairy |
Kiwiburn’s longest running theme camp appears once again to offer a unique black light downtempo ambience, and the infamous signature beverage. The Fairies have mysterious ways and are not always to be found—come looking when you see the flashing sign. Thursday night: TEMPLAR PARTY! Friday day: GONG SHOW! Ongoing: GONG SHOW KARAOKE! |
Cape Carnival |
Cape Carnival will bring the combination of NASA Space geek technology and carnival atmosphere to the paddock again this year. A rideable reusable Space Shuttle will be the main art piece at camp, and music fit from the ages will be played at various times of the day. Although not a kids camp by any means, we will have two experienced burner kids at our camp. Come hang out at Cape Carnival and be wowed and entertained. |
Starbase - taking you to another dimension |
Home of the world-famous (or paddock-famous) Tane Ma Munchies - our cookie/lolly tree - and some exciting new art projects... Starbase will take you to another dimension... |
Skullfuck |
Skullfuck returns! Let's get drunk and yell! |
The Cat Flap |
MPW like getting drunk, this is where we are going to do it. |
Nude Awakenings |
At past kiwiburns, nudists have been wandering around without any real home. NO MORE! At 2012 kiwiburn, nudists will have a super comfy shady spot to get together and be happily naked. Smiles and paints for body art are provided. |
International Green Star Disaster Relief Centre |
After learning about the problems with attending Burningman when you are travelling with a back pack I have decided to expand last years shared space to create The International Green Star Disaster Relief Center. This will be open to those who would otherwise eat their baked beans cold from the tin etc. The current plan is to provide some basic kitchen facilities... gas cooker, pots, pans, cleaning facilities with limited water etc. But be warned: the Kitchen Police will patrol to ensure you clean up the mess you make or they will throw you out. There will also be a shaded lounge area where you can chillax. This will also connect with the idea of the Stone Soup Kitchen, a vegetarian soup that community members can add to and take sustance from. |
The Green Room |
Come to The Green Room for a place to relax during the day and prep for your big night out on the paddock. Our dome is not only cool and shady, but we’ve also got icy cold slushies. Chill out on our cosy cushions while we play some great kiwi music – and on Thursday night we’ll be showing the Koyaanisqatsi movie series. |
The Headless Ducks |
The Headless Ducks are returning to the burn to delivery you the freshest beats of breaks, dubstep and more... So come join us to lose yourself, having a body shake to great music. |
"I'm Sorry, I Haven't a Theme Camp Name" |
Come to our place for tea, word games, puns, the occasional game of Mornington Crescent (we prefer to use the 1952 rulebook [third edition, second reprint] with liberal use of the Fric manoeuvre), and the pleasant strains of BBC Light Entertainment radio programmes. Incidental music is provided by Pooky. We’re open for a limited time each afternoon -- look for the Mornington Crescent sign! |
Broke Baroque Roke Bar |
We're broke, we like the baroque period and we serve roke, so come to our broken down blue shed for related shenanigans at random periods throughout the event. |
Post-white Ornithological Discourse (P.O.D) |
Post-white Ornithological Discourse (P.O.D): Psychoaccoustic Experiments on the Willing. Whether you like it or not. |
Illuminati Temple |
*shh* |
The Artery |
The Artery is where you will found all the information you ever wanted about art at Kiwiburn. Come and register your art, find out about our art grant program, find out where art is on the paddock, get support for your work or perhaps attend a workshop run by someone who has an installation at Kiwiburn this year. |
Camp FUCK YEAH!! |
The former Bushangwallawalla tribers are back in action!!! However this year we'll be roaming the paddock enforcing OUR law and order — whatever that means. So be on your best (or WORST) behavior... those infringement tickets will cost you. |
Dr ?'s Emporium of Forgotten Dreams & the Worlds End Tearooms |
Last stop on tbe road to nowhere; Dr ?'s emporium caters to all comers, from past life regressions, to a calming cup o tea for the weary. Fantastical fancy dress, musical renditions of all your favorite post-apocalyptic bad land ballads, and the contents of your subconscious served up to you on a plate. (Your mileage may vary.) Mind bending workshops (plus space to add yours), elevator music, wild theatrics, and of course silver spoon service. |
Camp Pedro |
It's a surprise! |
Mind Techture |
A common space for projections, good sounds, tea drinking, shaded chillaxin and info sharing. |
